Description
The Li Jiang is a beautiful, gently flowing river near Guilin in Guangxi province, Southern China. In its picturesque setting, surrounded by a fascinating Karst landscape, it is, and has been for hundreds of years, an inspiration to artists, poets and song writers, and now photographers.
I came to visit for perhaps a couple of weeks; three years later I am still captivated by it, in all seasons and weathers. Around every bend is another masterpiece, in one of the world’s most seductive landscapes.

Everyone hears about how dirty Chinese rivers and lands have become because of industrialization, but when I visited the Li river I swore it was the cleanest and clearest river I've ever saw. Guilin is truly one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
