Making music.

The Erhu is a compact, fiddle-like two-stringed Chinese musical instrument. Though only having a range spanning about three octaves, it has some of the qualities of a violin, and is capable of producing an amazing range of music in the hands of a skilled player; from the exhilarating dance melodies of a folk musician to the mellow virtuosic sounds of a concert violinist, played solo or in large groups, it can be employed to excite or move one to tears. Here an enthusiast practices in the acoustically rich underpass of the Liberation Bridge in Guilin. I came intending to just take some photos, but stayed for a wonderful free concert.
